1. Equipment Composition and Uses
This equipment is suitable for stranding small cross-section wires and consists of a pay-off rack, guide plate, stranding cage, and motor.
2. Preparations Before Production
1. Place the tools and measuring instruments on the workbench, and check whether the measuring instruments are zeroed.
2. Check whether the equipment is functioning normally, especially the wire break shutdown device and the protective cover power-off protection switch. If there is any abnormality, report it to the maintenance personnel for repair immediately.
3. Prepare the semi-finished products according to the production plan, and check whether the semi-finished products meet the experience-based standards and process requirements. Place the qualified semi-finished products on the unwinding rack, put on the cone sleeve, and adjust the tension.
4. Hang the gears according to the number of strands, pitch, and lay direction required by the process, adjust the lay direction, select the wire guide die according to the process requirements and install it. Prepare the wire reel as required, check whether the reel is intact, and install the reel on the reel stand.
5. Pull a traction line through the guide pulley and the duct until it reaches the traction pulley inside the cage, then wrap the traction line around the traction pulley 3 to 4 times and secure one end of the traction line on the winding drum.
3. Key Points for Operating the Wire Bundling Machine
1. Pass each single wire through the automatic stop device for broken wires, run it through the junction board to the wire merging die, twist the wire harness into a single strand, pass it through the wire merging die, pull out 0.5–1.0 meters, and fix the wire merging die on the die base.
2. Connect the strand and the traction line together, close the protective cover, start the machine slowly, wait for the wire end to be pulled to the reel and wind around the reel 2 turns. Stop the machine, cut off the unqualified part of the wire end, pull out the traction line, and fix the qualified wire end on the reel.
3. Start the machine and twist 20–30 meters, and check according to the requirements whether the diameter of each wire has been stretched, whether the twisting direction meets the process requirements, whether the wire cores are round, and whether there is any looseness. Only after confirming that everything is correct can production continue.
4. During the startup process, frequently monitor the operation of the pay-off reel and the winding condition of the take-up reel. If any abnormal situation occurs, the machine should be stopped immediately, and the problem should be identified and resolved before restarting.
5. After manufacturing is completed, carefully fill out the product manufacturing card, place it in the area for inspection, and after the process inspector confirms it is qualified and stamps it, place it in the qualified products area awaiting the next process.
4. Quality Requirements
1. Various stranded wires are not allowed to be welded as a whole bundle. Single wires are allowed to be welded, but no more than two joints are allowed in the same cross-section. The distance between two joints should not be less than 300mm, and the joints should be firm and smooth. Stranded cores that have been bundled are not allowed to have missing wires, broken wires, looseness, or overlapping.
The single wire deviations, pitch, and lay direction in the wire core should meet the process requirements.
